Weather in California is Brrrr….cold. It seems like it is winter again in middle of May. I hope we get the sunshine soon. How is weather where you are? Here some great reads around the net that you might like.

On other notes, school and kindergarten is busy as it is coming to end in less than a month before summer break. My SIL and BIL, had a baby a few days ago, so we have been busy and really excited to have new addition to our extended family. R and P are happiest cousin to have another baby to play with. R is already ready to teach him ABCD and more…

I wanted to share a few great reads from the net;

  • I generally do not do much guest posting (3 guest posting and 2 online magazines) in almost 2 years as I am slow guest poster too 🙂 I recently did a guest post for a blog friend Eric from Eden Journal, where I talk about my decision to leave my six figure income to be at home with kids about 6 years ago. I really never talked much about it here on my blog  before.  Read it here: Important Things in Life.
  • As a mom and teacher, I am always looking for ways to learn and educate kids that will engage them in to creativity without spending lot of money. While ago, I found a great free resource that may help you as well with your children and best part about it? it is free. Check out here: Khan Academy.
  • For those of you have read my car free or car owner post, might be interested in this story from Herald, Open Stroller ban in commuter bus and train?. We are not car free, but occasionally we do bus and train ride with kids to museum or other big event where parking might be an issue. If this ban becomes reality in other places, it might prevent many parents who are working on going car-free.  I personally think, bus and train should accommodate strollers, cycles for many who are trying to make and live green, don’t you think?
  • This is a great illustration on how an average US consumer spends his or her paycheck here, your spending might be similar or will surprise you. Check it out here: US Consumer Spending. Insightful for sure.

Enjoy.
